The Co-Op occupies the building that was previously Image after the pub closed 10 years or so ago. Amid the global coronavirus pandemic of 2020, the store, along with all supermarkets and grocery stores, introduced measures to try to maintain the 2m distance between people from different households. This sign states that restrictions may be placed on the number of people in the store at any one time – it's 11:30 in the morning here, so there is no need, but there was a short queue at lunchtime yesterday as a one-in-one-out system was in operation. Inside, there are further measures including tape on the floor marking 2m intervals and screens at the tills – see Image
