This cast iron drain cover was manufactured by the Avonside Engine Co. of Bristol. It is hinged on one side and is located in the cobbled gutter of Zetland Rd close to the Junction with Salisbury Rd. The company was mainly involved in the production of railway locomotives and the company went into administration in 1934.
