Estate Boundary Marker against a wall on private property near the rear entrance of Broadley Cottage, Roborough. BICKLEIGH parish. The raised lettering reads Beehive motif / H / P.P. / P on one face and Beehive motif / H / P. P. / P (Hospital Of Poor’s Portion Plymouth) on the other. The Hospital Of Poor’s Portion was in Catherine Street, Plymouth and was a charity and a workhouse. It was sold to Plymouth Corporation in 1855 and the site now houses the eastern end of the new Guildhall. An identical marker post is situated at Calstock https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6426319.
