In Letham Glen, Leven, this structure used to house first one then a pair of foxes as animal 'attractions' when such things were allowed. In 2001 the decision was taken by the Local Authority to close all such facilities in Fife. See Letham Glen article https://www.geograph.org.uk/article/Letham-Glen-Leven
