Northern Powergrid were laying strategic cables across the Aire Valley vie the Kirkstall transformer station. Work across the busy Stanningley Road was started on the weekend of 28/29 March, aided no doubt by the reduction in traffic during the Coronavirus lockdown, but work had stopped with the reinstatement not yet completed by mid-afternoon on Sunday.
