The southern end of Northumberland Street. The street was very quiet at 4:20pm for a Saturday afternoon as shoppers were staying away due to the developing situation regarding the outbreak of COVID-19 disease caused by a strain of coronavirus. Several shops (including TK-MAXX, pictured on the left) had taken the decision to close their branches to protect workers and customers and limit the spread of the infection.
