This is the standard type for this stretch of the A6; this one is unfortunately somewhat battered. The parish name is around the base, and the face in deep shade has 'Lancaster III miles' on it. Notice the bench mark on the top – not to be trusted given that the stone is leaning so much! There is another benchmark nearby.
