All drain covers in the vicinity of the Image are sealed with this distinctive blue mark, as a security measure as this is a popular venue for the main political parties’ conferences in the autumn. Any seals that have been routinely broken by utility engineers are replaced in the run-up to the conference season and police presence is heavy during the conferences themselves.
