Almost typical Edinburgh tenement area - only difference is that there are houses built in one block on one side of the road. In Edinburgh, that's pretty much always a sign that when they were building the tenements they didn't think the ground would hold up the weight of the buildings. The new block on the right is the same - it's built over an underground stream and was a small garage until a few years ago. FYI don't take this bend coming towards the photographer carelessly in/after heavy rain. It floods, almost every time there's a storm or heavy rain.
