The Keady Monument at the junction of Market Street, Kinelowen Street, Davis Street and Bridge Street was built and paid for by the people of Keady in 1871 as a memorial to William Kirk. He was a local industrialist and politician. He was influential in the linen industry and owner of Annvale Mills and Darkley Mill.
