Viewed from Somerton Road in March 2020. For many decades the site ahead was the location of Somerton Park stadium. It was the home ground for Newport County AFC until the club went bankrupt in 1989. The first greyhound meeting took place at the stadium in 1932, and speedway racing (Newport Wasps) also took place there. The stadium was demolished in 1993 to make way for housing.
