Looking along Old Beer Road. On the left are Seaforth Cottage and Little Seaforth, with part of Seaforth Lodge on the far right. The plaque on the wall on the right reads: "Seaforth Lodge 1863. Built for Lady Ashburton by local builder Joseph Goode. Florence Nightingale, Thomas Carlyle, Alfred Lord Tennyson, Robert Browning and such pre-Raphaelites as John Ruskin, Charles Swinburne and John Millais have all stayed here as guests of Lady Ashburton".
