The towpath the photographer is on belongs to the Birmingham Canal Old Main Line while the branch off to the right under the bridge is the Gower Branch. The branch is 0.5 miles long with three locks and links to Birmingham Canal New Main Line. The bridge is Brades Hall Junction Bridge and carries the towpath.
