Technically this is the Wednesbury Old Canal (main line) that runs for 4.75 furlongs from Pudding Green Junction to Ryders Green Junction. There is a fork ahead and the branch to the right is the Balls Hill Branch Canal that is claimed to be navigable but probably is not. The Ryders Green lock are straight ahead. The works with chimney on the right is Robinson Brothers. This company was founded in 1869 and is one of the UK's largest independent manufacturers of fine chemical and rubber accelerators. The bridge is Ryders Green Access Bridge and is recorded as a disused factory access bridge.
