Prairie to Keighley

Great Western Railway 41xx class 2-6-2T Prairie No. 4144 crosses the River Worth en route to Ingrow and Keighley. The locomotive was visiting from Didcot for the railway's steam gala. It was built in 1946 and withdrawn in 1965 after 19 years' service. It was fortunately saved from Barry scrapyard in 1974. It was definitely on 'foreign' metals. The bridge it is crossing was due for replacement in March 2020 with work scheduled to start the following weekend using at least one steam crane.
