The OS names the area behind the camera as "Westerleigh Common", though it's some way from Westerleigh. Local sources simply name it as "The Common". Here is a redundant animal grid on the right, but presumably it can be brought into use if the gate is shut and sheep are grazing. The path is footpath LWE 9/10.
