Gateway of the former Franciscan Friary, Stamford

Still generally referred to as the Whitefriars Gate, it has been known since the 1970s to have belonged to the Franciscan – Grey Friars – Friary. The gateway is 14th century but the bulk of the building is a lodge facing the hospital grounds built in 1848 in matching style. Scheduled Monument, but not a Listed Building.
