This memorial at St Mary's is inscribed: IN LOVING MEMORY OF HARRIET GERTRUDE HELEN MESSENGER, AND OF HER WORK IN THIS PARISH AS SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER AND TRAINER OF THE CHOIR BOYS. "SHE FELL ASLEEP IN JESUS." 3RD JULY 1896, AGED 30 YEARS.
