Category B Listed http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB50426 , built in 1858 for Hugh Highgate, a Paisley fish oil refiner. The Highgate family built the nearby Alliance Church in Strone, which is snow known as Highgate Hall https://www.geograph.org.uk/snippet/20252 .
