The A306, called Castelnau along here, is unusually traffic free due to the closure of Hammersmith Bridge for major repairs. Castelnau is the name of both the road and surrounding area which was established by an aristocratic French refugee whose former home was at Castelnau-Valence in Provence. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castelnau,_London
