Restored Pond, Hackfall Woods

At the top end of the Hackfall estate and close to Grewelthorpe village, this pond was badly silted up and overgrown until restoration work in 2007 by the Hackfall Trust. The pond is at the head of a steep sided little gill that drops into Hackfall Wood through a series of cascades and other water features - most of which await restoration.
