Norman porch entrance in Penselwood

The south porch features some zig-zag styling typical of Norman designs; above the lintel is a lamb in a circle flanked by a lion and a lioness. Below are two crowned heads, thought by some to be Kings Arthur and Guthrun. The clean stonework and fine details suggest the stonework has been renewed.
