BT are applying to abandon more and more phone boxes as the number of people using them declines drastically in our mobile phone age. Many are adopted by local communities for alternative uses, and one of the most popular uses is as a defibrillator station: other uses include community libraries, art installations or cashpoints. Note the George V post box: the former village shop and post office (now a private house) is just off shot to the left.
