It's difficult to get a good view of this property due to its location below a busy road with no pavement on the nearer side, and the trees on the border of the property. It was built in 1870 for local millowner Henry Brook, the architect was John Kirk and the castellated tower is said to have been to allow Brook to look over his mills. Grade II listing (entry 1427283); the house is presently disused.
