The Robert Sinclair Tobacco Company dates from 1856; the business was acquired by Imperial Tobacco in 1930. The building, central in the image which has the large 'mural' naming the company was threatened in 2019 with being obscured by the construction of (yet another) student accommodation block, but the proposal was not approved.
