Little apart from these substantial stone walls and revetments remains above ground of the once-extensive Weoley Castle, a 13th/14th century fortified manor house and moat which once stood here. The grounds surrounding it are a Scheduled Monument, and the remains themselves were Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101075769-remains-of-weoley-castle-weoley-ward#.XilVEsj7RPY & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1075769 in 1952.
