Looking across the Central Gardens. The Town Hall was built in the late 19th century as the Hotel Mont Dore. It was then used as a military hospital during the First World War and was converted for use as the Town Hall in 1921-22. The Hotel Mont Dore was one of the first properties to possess a telephone.
