Mountnessing lane at its junction with Doddinghurst Road in the village of Doddinghurst in Essex. A traditional direction sign stands to the left of the image. This image was taken on a chilly but very sunny January afternoon. Trees were bare, the sun was low in the sky and shadows were long.
