Ainslie Park is built on the site of the Pilton Playing Fields, used by Ainslie Park High School until its closure in 1991. It is now the home of the Spartans Football Academy and Spartans Football Club. There are two all weather pitches here, and this one hosts league football due to Edinburgh City's temporary residence here. (Meadowbank is getting rebuilt). The picture was taken at half time in a match between Queens Park and Edinburgh City. Queens Park won 2-1. Both teams normally play in black and white shirts, both have changed today - Queens Park wearing a very solid looking blue and grey kit. The ground has a capacity of 3000.
