Built sometime around 1860-1870, in what's described as an Italianate style, the older part of the Cobden Hotel seen here on the left was Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101289944-cobden-hotel-edgbaston-ward#.XiAN38j7RPY & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1289944 in 1982. It's now described above the door as 'Cobden Suite' suggesting it's used as a sort of function room area for the main hotel business further right.
