This telephone kiosk on Townhead, Kirkintilloch seems to have only been in this position for the last three or four years, and doesn't appear to be operational as a phone box. All the glazing has been removed and the box is in the process of being repainted. Manufacture of the ‘K6’ type telephone kiosks was begun at the Lion Foundry, in Kirkintilloch, during the mid-1930s.
