House of late medieval origin, refronted as mock timber frame in 19th century, but containing medieval elements including the 12th century Norman arch just visible to the left of the shop. The original medieval building included the site of the building to the left, which was built in 1885. Listed Grade II, the archway and passage are a Scheduled Monument.
