A night time view of the A23 dual carriageway, looking N. The junction of the B2115 with the northbound carriageway can be seen on the left (signpost off A23 points to Warninglid). The ribbon of this major road cuts boldly across the undulating terrain of West Sussex and just visible at the top of the photo are the lights of vehicles travelling S down Handcross hill in grid square Image, 3km N of here. The long exposure required for the photograph resulted in individual vehicles not being visible on the image - only the tell tale trail of their lights is left.
