Gothic-style pigeon house (colomendy) of vast proportions on the Cilwendeg estate. Currently derelict but said to be awaiting restoration, as has been the case with the nearby Shell House. From Coflein: "Cilwendeg Pigeon House is a large ornamental structure with a central portion having 7 tiers of cornices with a curved pediment set between pilasters with a pinnacle above and a taller portion at each end. It was built for Morgan Jones of Cilwendeg in 1835, to a degree of elaboration unparalleled in Wales, it is said to have been built for ducks and geese on the ground floor wings, turkeys in centre, dogs between, hens on the first floor and pigeons on the upper shelves. Generally each room has two tiers of large square nesting boxes, slate-lined with slate front step." Maps show a pond in front but this seems now to be empty of water and full of weeds.
