"The Old Ship Inn (Prince of Wales) was built using timber from the 1858 ship of the line HMS Donegal which was believed to be a 101 Gun Ship and thought to be one of the groups of ships that was credited with the capture of the CSS Shenandoah. The Donegal was finally decommissioned in 1923 when some of its timber was used to build the Prince of Wales Pub, 34 Bethel Street, Brighouse HD6 1JR. It was thought most of the frontage main timbers and various others timbers were used although not all had come from the original Ship." (From 'Around Brighouse.co.uk')
