Planning permission has been granted by Canterbury City Council under application numbers CA//15/00450 and CA//15/00451 refer for the “proposed redevelopment of former Slatters Hotel & Ha Ha Bar site, including retention and renovation of existing listed buildings and demolition of 1960s non-listed Slatters Hotel elements. Proposals include redevelopment to include ground floor commercial unit[s] fronting St Margaret's Street, a 130 bedroom hotel and rooftop restaurant”. This view was taken from West Service Yard off Rose Lane.
