According to Streetview in 2009 the left hand shop was a fish and chip shop whilst to the right was Wigan Tourist Information. By 2012 the right hand shop had become Totally Wicked selling electronic cigarettes. Nothing had changed in 2014 but by 2017 both premises had become Skipper's traditional fish and chips. By September 2018 the left hand shop had become Chicken Pops whilst right hand was still signed Skipper's but was boarded up and carried posters announcing Wallgate Chippy coming soon and recruiting staff. By April 2019 the latter had opened and the left hand shop was still Chicken Pops. Now it is Pizza Town.
