The south facade. The pumping station was built in 1905 for the Nottingham Corporation Water Works. The main pump house housed two Manhattan-type triple-expansion steam engines from Ashton Frost of Blackburn, together with the boiler house and workshop. After decommissioning in 1980, it suffered mining subsidence before restoration in the 1990s to become offices and a function venue. Now named Blackburn House to reflect the provenance of the engines. Listed Grade II.
