The cattle dock loading platform, all that remains of Withington station on the Hereford to Worcester line. It was opened in 1861 and closed in 1961, so although Beeching is blamed, in this case he is not guilty. The GWR provided a new station building in the early 1900s, there being a second waiting room on the Hereford bound platform. The two were connected by a handsome footbridge. No trace of any of these remains and the line was singled in the 1980s. Both the singling and the loss of the station were shortsighted mistakes and there are currently half-hearted plans to reopen the station.
