Solidly built by the Great Western Railway for the Withington stationmaster. Withington station on the Hereford-Worcester line opened in 1861 and closed exactly 100 years later. It was a substantial two-road station with a footbridge and goods facilities. Little trace remains today, although for some years there have been plans to re-open a halt here, which might help reduce traffic in Hereford.
