Seen on a frosty, foggy day, the boat houses have deteriorated considerably since this earlier image https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1564349 taken in 2007. Much of the water was covered in ice, but this end of the dam was clear, and a pair of mute swans and a few ducks were taking advantage of the fact.
