Unlisted, but singled out for commendation in https://www.northdevon.gov.uk/media/309309/swimbridge-appraisal-low-res.pdf on three counts: "the only examples of porches well related to their main buildings are at Forge Cottage and 1-3 Church Cottages"; "a ... swagged barge board"; and "Forge Cottage is one of few domestic properties in the village built of exposed stone. The house has been intensively cleaned revealing the variety of colour of the stone, while the boundary wall retains a more uniform appearance". Rising behind it is the spire of St James' Church. This view is from Sainte Honorine Du Fay Close.
