Lying beside the Old Wells Road is a milestone. It is missing almost all details, including the plate, and the stone itself has crumbled somewhat - all now covered by some lush vegetation. Formerly it would have read 'Wells 10, Frome 5'. It also should have a benchmark, although it may have been subject to the above constraints. It is listed in the Benchmark Database: https://www.bench-marks.org.uk/bm113591 . See Image] for a location view.
