This gate prevents vehicular access between Harley-Warren and Harley-Bakewell but allows pedestrian access. The various 'villages' in Warndon Villages have separated road systems but there is always one or more linking paths on foot. Part of the fun is going down a 'close' to discover whether there is pedestrian egress, discovering there isn't and having to come back the same way. You can add quite a bit to an afternoon stroll that way.
