Ordnance Survey records indicate there was a benchmark on the road end of the dividing wall (left of the green gate carrying the 'Woodlands' house name of No. 176) between Nos. 166 and 176. The mark was levelled at 71.375m above Newlyn Datum in 1962. I suspect the installation of the gate has led to the loss of the benchmark.
