Roman Catholic Church in Garlands Road. Completed in June 1923, its dedication was a compromise between the main benefactor, the newspaper proprietor Sir Edward Hulton, who lived in Downside in Leatherhead, who wanted it dedicated to Mary, in honour of his late sister, and the diocesan bishop who wanted to retain the dedication to St Peter that had applied to the former mission chapel in a house in Linden Gardens.
