Dene Lodge, Saltwell Park

This public park in Gateshead was established in the 1870's, after being purchased from industrialist William Wailes. The lodge here was one of the original buildings designed by James Bowyer, who laid out the park for Gateshead Council. Originally it was the Park Superintendant's house.
