The opening plaque reads: AONACH MOR SKI ROAD This plaque marks the opening of the Road on 9th December 1991 by Councillor Duncan J McPherson M.A. Convener, Highland Regional Council. The Aonach Mor Ski Road will allow local people and visitors safe and easy access to this magnificent area. The Road with its spectacular views is a tribute to all who were involved from its inception to its completion. The Road was designed and supervised by Highland Regional Council's Department of Roads and Transport, constructed by R.J.McLeod (Contractors) Ltd and financed by Highland Regional Council with assistance from the European Regional Development Fund.
