Rebecca Road on Allesborough Hill passing a recent housing development. The road with the house on the corner is Choules Close, named after Claude Choules who was born on Bridge Street in Pershore in 1901; he was the last surviving male veteran who saw active service in World War I. He died aged 110 in Australia where he had emirgated. He was the last surviving verteran who saw action in the First World War, and also the last military witness of the scuttling of the German fleet in Scapa Flow.
