Great Central Railway - 8F at Loughborough

The locomotive is No. 48624 to a design by Stanier and built at Ashford (SR) in 1943. In previous years this locomotive has carried a red livery but the enthusiasts will be much happier with this more authentic black livery. It is seen here on a train of mineral wagons heading south from Loughborough. The lighting and exposure were appalling.
